Etude House: Juicy Cocktail Gradient Nail Set.

Hello, Something really traumatising actually happy to me this morning around 1-4am. Just composed myself together and trying to blog to occupy myself.

Alright, so as promised, I actually took photos and prepared for some reviews to be done for certain products.
So First up, are the Etude house: Juicy Cocktail Gradient nail set.
I got them in two colours: #3 Love Violet and #4 Mint Frappe.
Love the colours don't you!
Close up.

this was how the mint frappe turn out.
Notice only 2 gradient?
That is because the last layer which is of glitters are way too chunky.
they look super messy so I removed them after putting the glitter and redo my nails.
find that just two layer are much better.

REVIEW:

Colour: I like the colour pay off because they are really pretty AND you don't have to buy separate nail polishes to match one another to get the gradient.
However, quite disappointed with the one in mint frappe because the last colour glitter is just too chunky and
it makes everything so so messy, definitely wish the glitter are smaller.
Love violet is just perfect! sweet purple in colour~
Glitters are visible and of a good size!

Lasting : The nail polish last quite long..(2-close to3 weeks) no chipping and flaking of the polish. Usually when I use other Etude house nail polish they tend to chip after a week even with top coat.. But surprisingly these gradient sets don't. :)
But I was wondering if the durability is due to the numerous coats I have to applied to achieve the effect..

Price: SGD 9.90 per set( got it from Gmarket ). Which I think it is quite reasonable for 3 miniature bottles of polishes.
If you guys haven't been shopping on Gmarket or Qoo10, you are really 'SUA GU' okay. GO and DO it now.! If not it is really one of the biggest regret in your life.

Overall: 4/5 stars

Mini-guide

So now i'm just going to show you guys how to do the 3 tone gradient with Love Violet.
For those who are new or think that their nail painting skills are not good, try this. Easy.

First step: Number 1 polish. ( They actually labelled 1)

The colour is pretty sheer so I went ahead with two thick coats.
Check out JYJ's JEJUNG right at the back~

 2nd: colour no 2.
Start off with the outer 2/3 of the nail.
Two coats as well.

The lighting just don't work with me.
And it is so dark probably because i did my nails at night..
Unlike the top three photos which the lighting is much brighter? because I took those in the afternoon..
I have this habit of painting my nails at night because it's always till then I felt bored and it just so happen that my nail polish are peeling as well..
they just get on my nerves.. haha

 3rd: Colour no. 3
at the outer 1/3 of your nails. Try to blend the intersection/overlap of colour no. 2 and 3 with a little of colour 3.

then top off with your favourite top coat.
Personally suggest: Seche Vite top coat! :)
with seche vite, they look like gelish~

Lalangs~

Oh my gosh~
I finally found the long grass field in Singapore three days ago!
Those plants are actually called Lalangs.. which I took a while to google for the exact name of the plant.
And I manage to find them!
I would have to say, the trip there was a little more difficult than expected because I thought there will be a path for us to reach the lalang field.. but apparently there isn't unless you don't mind balding lalang patches. Haha.  So we have to find a less bushy way to enter and all the dried plants, twigs and branches were quite prickly but trust me, once you reach the field. EVERYTHING IS WORTH IT. It is just so pretty.

FIRST let me show you guys what I meant by bald okay.
see.. imagine the field wasn't that bald, then QN will look super nice in this..

bald again. but the few lalangs there are nice:)

the one and only withered fellow.

spot the dragonfly!

this seashell here pop one question into my mind..
Was this place once reclaimed? or was it a beach?
but I didn't bother to find out the answer..

imagine, Minus the bald-ness

it spreads out and look like a tree right? "D

Quess what this is?

Toilet. haha interesting right, it has such a rustic look~
QN asked me if this was due to poor maintainance or the rocks surrounding the toilet which are of this rusty brown colour as well..

In Popeyes~
Too warm and thirsty so went in for the Air con!

this was where everything is worth, after all the prickly stuff yea.
There is finally a path with full full lalangs~

when we finally got so hyped with the fuller field right, my battery decided to die!
so the rest was using my iphone or  QN's DSLR

both of us look pretty here :)

the seeds :) erm, doesn't feel as feathery as it looks
but it's interesting to feel.

taken at the red bridge.

the last three were from QN's DSLR. :D

this one is so soft-focus feel, but sadly I don't look too good in it.

idk if you can see me in this photo? Should be able to.
haha.

Then went to Heartland Mall and had dinner at Qi Ji  :)
Really happy that I met up with her!
That day's trip is really meaningful and unforgettable.
Love you!
